QLD Food Safety RequirementsUnder the Food Standards Code, Standard 3.2.2A, a Food Safety Supervisor certificate is valid for five years and a complete course must be repeated every five years for category one and category two food businesses. Ensuring your Food Safety Supervisor training is current is critical in avoiding potential fines or penalties.The Food Safety Supervisor must be able to provide their certificate to an authorised officer, if requested. An AIFS issued Statement of Attainment for the Food Safety Supervisor course dated within the last five years will satisfy this QLD recertification requirement.

The course is split into 19 lessons, two case studies, and an Observer Report. The lessons in the course are:

A suitable co-worker or supervisor can complete the observation and report.Quality Assurance ProcessAIFS reserves the right to contact you or your observer for verification before awarding certification.

There are no training prerequisites for this course - you can simply enrol and get started.Language, Literacy and NumeracyWhilst there are no training prerequisites, there are some requirements around language, literacy and numeracy. In order to complete this course you should be able to perform everyday tasks such as:
