Milk is considered a key allergen under the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code. Key allergens, which include peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, sesame seeds, fish, shellfish, soy, lupin and wheat, cause 90 percent of allergic reactions in Australia.
